Moving Vans

If you're going to hire a professional mover, there are now many green options where the movers use biodiesel vans.

If you're going to rent your own gasoline moving van. There are several ways you can green your move:

-Drive at night when there's less traffic
-Spend extra time making sure you can get as much as possible packed in few trips
-Since you're going to take your family vehicles to your new home or office anyway, be sure to factor in their space for moving boxes as it may save you a trip in the van
-If you have lots of extra space in the van, you may want to ask your friends/family/co-workers if they need anything transported, it may save them a separate van rental. Who knows if someone is about to go pick up a couch from craigslist, move stuff into storage, or possibly be moving themselves.
