Moving Containers and Storage Containers
There are now several options when it comes to moving containers. On the small scale you have cardboard boxes, plastic totes with interlocking lids, Rubbermaid bins with a separate snap-on lid, milk crates, and more. On large scale there are moving trucks, moving vans, PODs, and more.
No matter what type of storage containers you use (big and small) the best way to go green that applies to all of them is to really purge as much of the stuff that you don't want to keep before you start packing.
Before filling your storage container with boxes that have been packed for years in the garage, spend the time going through all your existing storage boxes.
It's good to inventory everything anyway for insurance, and disaster/emergency preparedness.
Once you've condensed your small moving containers' contents, you'll need less spacious larger moving containers and thus save fuel, and rental costs.
