Moving Checklist
An excellent moving checklist spanning steps to take spanning two months before moving day can be found here.
Using a checklist for moving can prevent minor and major headaches, and provide a sense of ease and confidence that comes with knowing you're executing against a plan.
There is so much stress and chaos surrounding a move. From losing things, to breaking things, to having services turned on and shut off, the list goes on.
Unfortunately a lot of people procrastinate on preparing for their move and frantically scurry to get everything done in the course of a few days.
As soon as you start thinking about having to move, you should start a checklist. While you fill out a pre-made checklist, you'll add many of your items taylored to your specific needs and conditions.
We recommend adding a few green checklist items:
-Plan a yard/garage sale to get rid of unwanted items
-Start collecting used boxes
-Save newspapers for packing paper
-Buy some healthy snacks so you can have clean, green energy to move while your kitchen is packed up so you don't have to rely on junk food.
-When looking for a place to move, factor in the ability to grow a garden and maintain a compost
