Cardboard Boxes

Cardboard boxes were first developed and put into use in the late 1800s. Since then they've become one of the most ubiquitous manufactured items in all of the industrialized world.

The majority of the items that surround us were at one point shipped in a cardboard box.

The need for cardboard boxes is huge and the demand on forests worldwide to provide the wood fibers used in cardboard box manufacturing is always increasing. However, by purchasing used cardboard boxes, you're helping reduce that demand.

Imagine if every box ever made was treated as a reusable container! As long as the box is used gently, it can be reused many times. Cardboard is a surprisingly durable material. Further, if a cardboard box is damaged, the cardboard can be repurposed for many other applications before being recycled.

At GoGreenMovingBoxes.com, we strongly urge all businesses, consumers, institutions, etc. to consider the value of cardboard boxes and to help build a culture of re-use that sees a cardboard box as precious resource to be kept alive.

For most of the last 100 years, there's been no infrastructure set up ensure that re-usable boxes stay in the re-use cycle before being recycled. We're here to connect supply with demand to keep good boxes alive. By ordering moving kits and stacks of used cardboard boxes, you're contributing to the green moving movement!
