Bubble Wrap
When packing, moving, shipping, and storage items in boxes, you'll always need to secure the item with some kind of shock absorbent material. Bubble wrap is expensive and takes up a lot of space. If you spend a little time cutting segments of used cardboard, you can make spring loaded zig-zagging inserts that will keep your items from moving and maintain pressure to keep your item safely in place. Also, you won't need to fill all the empty space in the box, so you'll be using less.
If you receiving bubble wrap in packages, you can keep it and reuse it for packing future boxes. Or you can reuse it in other creative ways listed by Planet Green.
